MattHOCKLEYSuddenly and unexpectedly at 23:38 on Wednesday 2nd October aged 52 years, Matt went to be with his Lord and Saviour. More than a Husband to Clare. More than a Dad to Nathan and James. More than a Brother to Martin and Mark. More than a Brother-in-Law to Vicki and Dave and more than a Son-in-Law to Keith and Marg.
Matt will be blowing his bass in Heaven’s brass band and dancing with the angels... There are no crutches in heaven!
Matt leaves behind a legacy: You have a choice, make every moment count. Take the unflattering picture, it might be the last one you ever get. Do what you do with courage and conviction. Love hard, without apology, say the words, tell them. In the words of Clare’s favourite Man, “What could possibly go wrong?”
A celebration of Matt’s life will take place at Tees Valley Community Church, The Oakwood Centre, Eaglescliffe on Monday 21st October at 5:30pm following a private Committal service.
Family flowers only please by request, donations in lieu if so desired to Christians Against Poverty. Clare and the family would very much like people to share stories, pictures, videos, music and any other memory of Matt by uploading these to Matt’s online tribute page, https://matthewhockley.muchloved.com/ There will also be a basket at Church if anyone would like to bring a letter, some photos or other memories of Matt which the family could keep. Donations made in memory of Matt can also be made via the online tribute page and at Church.
