Sadly passed away on Saturday 4th October, peacefully after a well lived life.

Beloved husband of the late Margaret. Cherished father to Julie and Jo and a father-in-law to Steve and Paul. A loving grandad to Sam, Jack, Ellie, Tom and Martha.

Family were his pride and joy and his presence will be deeply missed but his spirit lives on in the memories that we hold.

Will friends and family please meet on Tuesday 28th October, 10.30am at St Gabriel's Church, Heaton and then on to a committal at West Road Crematorium at 12noon.

Donations in lieu if desired to The Music Fund at St Gabriel's Church,
Heaton, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Such a lovely man and a good friend. Have known Gerry since our late teens. We were members of St Gabriel's Church and Operatic Society and were part of a lifelong group of friends. Gerry was always ready for a laugh and a bit of fun. So many good memories. Rest well Gerry. Xxx

Having met and known Gerry and Margaret, through Heaton Operatics , music was core to the team that they were .
Gerry so talented ,a beautiful voice and very professional stage presence . My favourite memory is the naughty smile and unexpected giggle .. Dear Gerry so proud of his family , so knowledgeable about music, so much fun and a charming and kind friend . So proud to have had him in my life ❤️
