Alvin and Hilary Baker, Shirley: we have been a neighbour and friend of dear Marianne for 46 years. We shared many chats and cups of coffee, both at her beautiful cottage in Shirley and at Richmond in latter years. We are so glad to have known her and we miss her. A truly amazing lady.

Dear Marianne, I will miss not seeing you on my visits to the UK. Always good and thought provoking conversations on any topic, and such a wealth of knowledge. Gardening was our common ground, what a wonderful garden you had at Shirley. A very special person indeed, so strong and determined, many people will miss you. Rest in Peace, Love David x
