Linda (Nee Watson)HOLDENof George Street, Clayton-le-Moors passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 10 aged 65, ‘sleep tight my beautiful mumbly.’ After leaving St Christopher’s High School, she briefly worked at Hilden MFG and also at the old Asda when it was on Blackburn Road. At a young age she became very ill, and was told she would not make it, but being the fighter she was, she beat all the odds and made it through to meet her wonderful husband Stephen. They were then lucky enough to have their daughter Stephanie, Linda then became a stay at home mum and housewife. She took up machine knitting and made many beautiful jumpers for friends and family, she also loved her animals, at one point the family practically had a zoo! Linda was the warmest most loving person, she leaves behind husband Stephen, daughter Stephanie, siblings Jean and Derek and mum Anne plus many nieces and nephews. ‘I love you mumbly and we miss you all day every day xx.’ Her celebration of life service will be at Accrington Crematorium on Friday, February 3 at 1pm with a small gathering at the Whitakers Arms, Accrington. Open to flowers. Funeral directors: Hyndburn Funeral Services, Queens Road, Accrington

I am so sad to hear of Linda's death. She brought many a laugh with her unique sense of humour when she visited the Optician's in Accrington. I have often thought of her fondly since I left. Sending heartfelt condolences to all her family. X
