Irene MaryHOLDERNESS87 Died peacefully at Rivermead Nursing Home, Norton, Malton on November 10th, 2006. She was formerly of Marton, North Yorkshire. Mrs Holderness, the widow of George Holderness, formerly vicar of St. Cuthbert's Church, Darlington (1947 - 1955), Bishop of Burnley (1955- 1970) and Dean of Lichfield (1970-1979), is survived by two daughters, Anne and Susan, and by a son David, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Monday, November 20th at 12 noon at St. Gregory's Minster, Kirkdale, Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire. Family flowers only please, but donations may be sent to the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research direct and St. Gregory's Minster funds.
