BruceHOLLOWAYIt is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bruce, on the 26th of December 2022, aged 85 years. Much loved brother of Pauline (Bossy Boots), Keith, Clive and the late Vivian, a much loved brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle and dear friend to many. "He had a good innings!" Would friends and family please meet at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe on Friday the 20th of January 2023 at 10.40am for service and committal. Special thanks go to the whole team at Balmoral House, Scunthorpe, for their outstanding care and support. We say good goodbye to Bruce today. I was proud to call him my brother-in-law. And as Bruce would say to me, Are you going to have a slurpee janie-darling. And the answer to that is yes Bruce today it will be just for you. rest in peace Bruce.xx

I will be forever grateful to Bruce for looking after me when I first started at STCC. From the youngest in the Intermediate team he managed to mentioning me in the second team and scaring me rigid with his driving and tales of his near misses. A caring, compassionate and really nice guy. Thanks Bruce!

Bruce ran our Junior team at Scunthorpe Town in the late 70’s and he looked after so many players over the years always with great humour and enthusiasm. My favourite memory was when he excitedly appealed for a caught behind, not exactly the done thing when you’re umpiring.! Thanks for the memories RIP Bruce, STCC legend.
