LilianHOLMESLilian Holmes, formerly of Rowan Avenue, Oswaldtwistle, passed away peacefully at Springhill Care Home on Monday, April 6, aged 85. Dearly loved wife of the late Roland, Lilian worked as a weaver at Duckworth Hall Mill and Enfield and at English Electric Sterling Foods and Rist Wires. Lilian enjoyed spending time on her pen, playing bingo and socialising and holidays to Fleetwood. Lilian was the much loved sister of Margaret and the late John and Brian, a dear sister-in-law, auntie, great-auntie and great, great-auntie, and friend to many. The cremation took place on Thursday, April 16 at Accrington Crematorium, with family only as per restrictions, conducted by Philip Norris. Family flowers only, but donations if so desired for Cat Friends of Hyndburn c/o funeral director Hillside Funeral Services, 318 Burnley Road, Accrington.
