MichaelHOLMESMr Michael ‘Mick’ Gerrard Holmes, on Tuesday, January 19, peacefully at home in Oswaldtwistle, following a year-long illness, which he fought bravely. A private, attendance by invitation only funeral service will be held in Ernest Street Baptist Church, Church, Accrington, led by Rev. Ian Lay, on Friday, January 29 at 11.45am prior to a 1pm committal at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only please; donations if so desired to East Lancs Hospice or Ernest Street Baptist Church via Mrs. M. Holmes c/o funeral director. Mick was a passionate Barcelona fan and was a regular visitor to Spain. He had long careers at MGS Plastics, Holland’s Pies and Aries UK Ltd. Mick leaves behind his beloved mother Maria, his loving sister Andrea, and his nephew Ben and niece Lucy.
