PatriciaHORNBYMrs Patricia Victoria Hornby, age 76, died after a short stay in Burnley General Hospital on Friday, July 23. Pat, as she was known, was born on October 15, 1944, to George and Edith Robinson in Accrington. She was married to the late Allan for 31 years and was step-mother to Susan and the late Kevin, and a loving step-grandmother. Pat leaves her cousin Maurice and his wife Liz and their four children and was lovingly known as Auntie Pat, to them and also their children. Pat joined the Civil Service when she was 16 and had a lifelong career with them for over 30 years. Pat and Allan loved their holidays and spent many happy times in Yugoslavia, and also spent time cruising, once travelling with Lancashire County Cricket team to the West Indies. Antley Methodist Church will be the place where we can say our final goodbyes to Pat on Tuesday, August 10, at 12 noon, followed by a short committal service at 1pm at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only. Memorial donations can be made in Pat’s name to Antley Methodist church, Accrington, and also via the funeral directors, Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.
