The obituary notice of David HOWELL

Hello I have only found out today the passing of David. He was my half brother. I’m Sandra Robb who lives in Australia with my 2 children and four grandchildren. Before I emigrated here in 1982 David and I caught up a few times (after our dad passed away in 1980) and met his lovely friend, Christine. David flew out to Australia to meet up with me again and meet his nephew and niece. He also met up with an old friend of his from Rugby also called Sandra who lived in New South Wales.
David and our dad so resembled each other but had far different personalities. David was 15 years older than me but when I returned to Rugby I would occasionally stay with him at Main Street. His favourite trip was going to the Rugby clock tower :):)

I am David’s half sister and we met for the first time, briefly after the death of our father in 1980. We reunited in 2009 and I saw him regularly at his home until I moved House in 2019. Then we lost touch because it was difficult to communicate with David. I have only just learned of his death and although I feel very, very sad, I will be eternally grateful for the many hours we spent chatting over coffee, in his conservatory in Newbold. We found that we had so much in common. I showed him a photograph of his father and he was visibly shocked at how alike they were! Thankyou David, better late than never.
