ColinHUGHESIt is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Colin Hughes late of Mayals Avenue, Swansea and recently of Holt, Wrexham. Colin was a reporter on the Evening Post and for many years chief reporter covering west Wales for the Western Mail. Colin died peacefully, after a long illness, on Monday 29th August at Bodlondeb Home, Pendine Park, Wrexham. Colin was the beloved husband of Ann. He will be sadly missed by his children Jonathan and Melissa, her partner Alan and his grandson Oliver. His memory will be cherished by brother in law Handel, sister in law Ailish, his nephews Marc and Roderick and their families Helen, Catherine, Freddie and Ailish. The funeral will be held at Wrexham Crematorium, Pentrebychan on 27th September at 11.30. No flowers please. Any donations in Colin's memory would be gratefully received by Diabetes UK c/o Roberts Funeral Directors, 4 High St., Pentre Broughton, LL11 6AG. The family would like to thank the staff of Bonney Ward, Wrexham Maelor Hospital and the staff of Bodlondeb for the excellent care and attention which they gave Colin.
