Really sad to hear of the sudden death of Pete. Enjoyed a pint or two with a Pete over the years. Always great company to be with. Sorry we didn’t get to have the day’s fishing together. He will be sadly missed by all the family.
Rest in peace Pete

Dear Dave
What a shock to read this after only seeing you 10 days before and hoping you'd feel better soon.
Mally and i have reminisced about all the places you both worked together and what lovely neighbours you were to us in Great Coates.
Rest in Peace
Such a sad loss.

Pete, known by his mates as the 'Barnetby Bullet' was one of the best blokes anyone could ever wish to meet. He became an instant mate the first day I met him and we continued our friendship seeing each other every year even though we live on opposite sides of the world. He had a brilliant witty sense of humour and always enjoyed a pint or two with friends. We are heartbroken that he has been taken from us so young, and am sure he is up there with the angels looking down upon us with a smile. God speed my dear friend - we will meet again on motorcycles on the other side of the pearly gates, I am sure. RIP Pete Hurst. Doug and Liz., Melbourne, Australia.
