SylviaHURSTSylvia Hurst (née Cass) passed away peacefully on 12/5/2026 at Cramlington Hospital, surrounded by her adoring family. Sylvia was born in Blaydon in 1939 and spent her life in her beloved Tyne Valley. She married Norman Hurst in 1960, and together they raised three daughters, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren during their 56-year marriage.
Sylvia always claimed to be shy, but she travelled the world, had many friends, and was often the last person on the dancefloor. She will be remembered lovingly by everyone who knew her for her strength, kindness, and cheeky smile.
