RaymondHUTCHBYRaymond Hutchby, 84, of Stenson Road, Derby, died February 5th, in the Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham surrounded by his loving family. He was born on 11th June 1938, in Derby to Rose and Frank, on 24th March 1962, he married Dorothy Ann Bowmer, who sadly passed away last year. After leaving Bemrose Grammar School, he took a position with British Rail at the Carriage and Wagon works. He attended night school, qualified as a Chartered Engineer and moved to the British Rail offices on London Road, where he became a Senior Purchasing Officer, a post he held until British Rail was disbanded when he took redundancy and began a long and happy retirement. During which, he enjoyed golf, supporting Derby County Football Club, and giving his time to the British Legion and the Evington Club. He is much missed by his Son and Daughter-in-law, David and Liz Hutchby; Son and Daughter-in-law, Michael and Leah Hutchby; and his Grandchildren, Jessica, Sam and Holly. A service will be held at Markeaton Crematorium, Derby at 2pm on Friday 10th March 2023. The family request no flowers but donations can be made to The Trauma Unit, Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham.
