After my marriage failed, I moved in across the road from Elizabeth and Geoff in the mid 1990's. We became instant friends. I don't think that I would have survived as well as I did without them. Always laughing and welcoming. Elizabeth (I always called her that, even though she told me not to,) and Geoff were difficult to leave when I remarried and moved out, but we kept in close touch ever since. Geoff amazed me they way he responded to the loss of his dear wife. His positive attitude was down to what he called "doing what Betty would want him to do" I will miss my friend dearly,he cannot be replaced.

Geoff and I met when I was 16. Geoff and his beautiful wife Betty became what I can only describe as the biggest Role Models in my life. They would fondly call me their adopted daughter and every Birthday card and Christmas card I received reflected this…I have the most wonderful memories of our many trips to London where we laughed so much and shopped till we dropped .…Geoff being the perfect gentlemen that he was would be our body guard and our spoils carrier… never grumbling just lovingly watching Betty and myself excitedly shopping. We laughed so hard on the train on the way home. Every moment I ever spent with Geoff and Betty was a joy. I always have and will continue to treasure these memories forever. Rest in peace my beautiful friend Geoff …Give Betty a big hug for me. Love you.
