Wiliam RoyHYLANDMr William Roy Hyland, of Russell Street, Accrington, died on Wednesday, July 1, aged 77. Roy, as he was known, was retired for many years due to ill health, but last worked as a supervisor at Caligen Foam. He was a Burnley FC supporter, a big fan of horse racing, was very interested in local politics, loved doing crosswords, and going out on a Saturday night with old friends. Most of all, he loved walking and looking after Titch, the family dog. Husband of Ann, he was father of Andrew, Michael, John and Denise, grandfather of Chloe, Oliver, Alexander, Rosie and Ralphy, and father-in-law of Dougal, Sarah and Mandy. The funeral followed by cremation will be held on Friday, July 10, at 11am at Accrington Crematorium, led by Fr Stamp. Family flowers only, donations if desired to the British Heart Foundation c/o funeral director Hyndburn Funeral Service, Accrington.
