June LilyJACKSONIn loving memory of June Lily Jackson who passed away peacefully on 21st December 2022 aged 85-years. June was born on October 16th 1937 in Canley, Coventry to parents Eliza & Tommy Goodman. June was preceded in death by her Brothers Gerald, Ted, Frank & Ronald. June is survived by her 4 Children Christopher, David, Gary & Leighton. 9 Grandchildren Nathan, Weszley, (deceased December 2005), Kirsty, Danny & Paige, Natalie, Richard, Lily-Mae & Oliver. 3 Great-Grandchildren Weszley Jnr, Brooke & Omari. June attended Henry Parker's Junior School and Templars Senior School in Coventry. Leaving school and starting work at Lee Mills working up to a materials inspector. June worked in various industries during her working career. June had 1 Child Christopher born in 1957 then 2 children by Aubyn Sealey. David Sealey born in 1959 and Gary Sealey born in 1961. Then later Married David Jackson and gave birth to Leighton Jackson in July 1979. June was a very religious woman who found great comfort in her Christian beliefs and was baptised in April 1990 at Canley Evangelical Church. June attended various Church groups over many years to practice her faith and was also very knowledgeable about her Christian beliefs. A very well-liked charismatic person who often had her many friends, family and acquaintances in fits of laughter with her unique "straight to the point" infectious humour. June adored her family who meant everything to her and she shared a very close and loving bond and close relationships with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Diagnosed with Macular degeneration in 2008 and registered blind. June was also diagnosed with Lymphoma in 2016 so regularly attended hospital for ongoing medical treatments over many years and true to form June was a great hit with all the caring, dedicated medical staff and built a close relationship as they enjoyed her unique style and brand of outspoken humour. June was a great fan of classical music and loved hymns so never missed an episode of Songs of Praise. Armed with a personal CD and headphones June would listen for hours to her favourite classical music in particular Andrea Bocelli and Andre Rieu along with the three tenors Pavarotti, Domingo & Carreras often falling asleep with her headphones still on. A strong, fiery, very loving, caring, generous person, June touched many lives and many hearts during her colourful lifetime and will be sadly missed and dearly remembered by all who knew her. RIP our beloved June Lily Jackson, Mum, Nan, Great-Gran, dearly loved by her family. The Funeral will take place Monday 9th January 2023 at Canley Crematorium, 180 Cannon Hill Road, Canley, Coventry CV4 7DF at 13:45pm. The family would like to invite anyone who wishes to attend the "After Celebration" of June's life from 2:30pm in the upstairs Communal Lounge at: Flat 10 Bonneville Place, 10 Bonneville Road, Canley, Coventry, CV4 8JF.
