He leaves behind his wife Margaret
and four grown children.
Husband, Father, Teacher, Poet.
Funeral to be held at:
12:15pm on Thursday 23rd April
St. Bernadette's Catholic Church

Bernard was a dear friend, fellow poet and long term correspondent who will be greatly missed by myself and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Mr Jackson was my English teacher in the 70s and was a lovely man and a great teacher with a sense of humour. He encouraged my great love of books and I am still a voracious reader to this day. Commiserations to the family.

Sad to read about Bernards death, what a lovely man, a real gentleman. First met him many years ago, having a cuppa after Mass at St Andrews, we shared many chats about our families, his poetry and life in general. I treasure some booklets of his work he gave me.
