Today I found this news, a day after Maureen's funeral. My mums cousin was a lovely lady, loved by her and by me, so sad - I will miss her greatly.

I'd always thought gran would out live us all. Did we everythink we'd have another dark time in December? No we didn't gran meant the world to everyone, to me, my brother, cousins auntie and mother. Gran was a warm and beautiful woman. She was elegant and fragile she was like a vintage pottery, the most valuable part of the family with her contiguous laugh. Every boxing day when I was little me my brother and my late father would go round for gammon and the most unhealthiest chips that were deep fried in lard with a slice of white bread and lurpack butter sometimes poach egg and chips. Sunday dinners were the best and now my gran shall lay to rest. My gran was like a Mrs browns like character who would often use bad words to be funny. My mam one time didn't hear from gran for a day so she thought something wasn't right, so she came into the house and snuck into her room and soon as my gran woke up she said what are you doing in my house. Funny but true story. Gran you will be missed, walking into your house with a strong smell of lambert and butler watching all the reapets and retro episodes of emmerdale and corrienation Street. My you lay to rest now gran please promise to look after my grandad Kevin, Charlie and my father I'm really going to miss you R. I. P Gran love you lots and take care this ain't me saying good by just see you down the road.
