RoyJAMESPeacefully at rest whilst at the RSUH on Thursday 24th September 2026, aged 92 years.

Devoted and loving husband of the late Barbara, much loved dad to Keith and Karen, treasured grandad and great grandad. Roy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all his family and many friends.

Funeral service and cremation to take place at Carmountside Crematorium on Friday 16th October at 10am. Will relatives please accept this intimation and friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the crematorium.

Flowers welcome or if preferred donations in memory of Roy to Asthma & Lung UK.

Keith and Karen, so sad for your loss, unfortunately I'll be unable to attend this great mans funeral.

However, I would like to add my own personal tribute to the man.

Roy (Mr James) where do I begin, Back in 1975 you interviewed me as a miss fit from school. Luckily for me you gave me that apprenticeship and with your guidance and believe in me you made me the person I am today. You did this not for me did for everyone you came into contact with.

You can rest assured my mentor, you changed the lives of so many people for the better.
