JASON WOODTributes were paid from the entertainment world after the sudden death of comedian Jason Wood on February 20, 2010, aged just 38.He was best known for comedy impressions - from Cher to Morrissey, Alison Moyet and Boy George - as well as "confessional comedy" during his routine, and was busy touring at the time of his death.And he came to a wider audience through being one of the eight dance floor hopefuls in the first series of the BBC's 'Strictly Come Dancing' but was sadly the first to be voted off. He was a contestant on the second series of The Underdog Show.He also appeared on hidden camera show, Spy TV and the BBC’s 29 Minutes Of Fame.Jason recently represented England for the UN Comedy festival in South Africa and as well as touring comedy clubs, worked the corporate circuit and hosted awards ceremonies.Bob Mills paid tribute, saying: “Absolutely grief-stricken at this news. The sweetest man. An amazing performer and an absolute joy to work with. We have lost a giant talent. My heart goes out to his family.”Fellow comic Omid Djalii said he was a "lovely man".Flight Of The Conchords' Rhys Darby said: "Your wonderful humour and stunning voice will echo in the halls of hilarity for ever on. You were one of the good ones."
