About my dad, John Jasper,
The memories that I had as a child, he was always the joker and the clown, never took life seriously, always smiling and winding someone up.
My father was a family man, worked long hours, to provide for his family,
Dads joy and fun at the weekends was his banger racing down ST Stephen,
When Grandma and Grandad had the newsagents, dad always had a mars bar or a Turkish delight, basically help yourself, and so did I, ha ha
Poor old grandma, dad and Neil used to pick grandma up and put her in the bin outside the shop as a bit of fun, the thing is, both sons was bigger than grandma and they would leave her there,
Grandma a short ass compare to her 2 boys,
As time went by dad decided, to leave the clay works and work for him self!
At this time we moved to nanpean,
Few years went by then the shock of my sister dying,
I can remember this day like it was yesterday,
The most proudest time I have seen my dad, is having my Emmas coffin ⚰️ on the back of the truck take my sister from nanpean to st stephen church,
Dad was red eyed and heartbroken, Grandad jumped in the cab of the truck and hug dad to say, let’s go boy!!!
Tears rolling down dad face while driving, knowing Emma my sister last journey is with her dad!!!
Time went by and mum and dad separated!
More hard times ahead,
But for DAD first and true love is his mother June Jasper,
Life is precious and time goes so fast on this earth,
Death is a doorway to our next life but our memories we be in our hearts forever!
