JOHN SMITHSMITH (Birtley). Appletree Grange, (late of Alnham Moor, Powburn). Peacefully in hospital with his niece by his side, on the 29th December 2007, aged 84 years, John, youngest son of the late John and Jemima Smith, dear brother of the late Robert, Annie and Cicely, beloved uncle of June and Robert and great uncle of the family. Cortege to meet on Tuesday 8th January for Funeral Service and cremation at Saltwell Crematorium at 12.30pm. Friends please meet at crematorium. All welcome afterwards to the Nine Pins Public House.
