Peacefully in hospital on 25th January 2016, aged 81 years, loving husband of Marjorie, dear dad of Margaret and George, father-in-law of Nigel and Anita, grandad to Laura and Louise. Private cremation. Service of Thanksgiving to be held at St. John Lee Church, Acomb on Wednesday 3rd February at 12.00noon. No flowers please, donations in his memory to Cancer Research and the Great North Air Ambulance Appeal.
