Paul was an amazing guy, a good friend
I had the privilege of working with him on radio, which was just amazing, he was a dream to work with, and he knew things about songs that I never knew. He was just amazing! Rest in peace Paul

A true gentle man who could show a lot of people the way to go through life caring and sharing . Thinking of others before yourself. Rest now you have done your bit for humanity.

2021 is now behind us. The Grim Reaper has been on form, claiming the souls of numerous friends and loved ones. Just before Christmas, our dear friend Paul Johnson suddenly passed away. He was an experienced radio presenter and a prolific fundraiser for charity in and around Swansea. He was a tremendous supporter of local artists—on and off the radio. Just a few days before his death, I had a chat with him, during which I had agreed to be a guest on his show. As no doubt, so did many other artists. Paul often attended our Equity South Wales Variety Branch parties. He would usually entertain us with stories or poems such as The Sweet Shop Rap. We loved him. A kind and gentle soul who saw good in everyone.
Our deepest sympathies to mum Barbara. She always made us feel welcome at Bonymaen. Thank you. We are all privileged to have known him. The words of Vince Gill's song, Go Rest High on the mountain describe Paul perfectly. Goodbye, my wonderful friend. Go Rest High. Your work on earth is done.
