HazelJOHNSONSadly, Hazel passed away, aged 94, at The Grove Care Home in Waltham, on 27th December 2022. The very devoted wife of the late Alan, much loved mother of Keith and Hilary, mother-in-law of Sonia, sister of David and the late Evelyn, Freda and Joan, nana of Stephanie and Tommy and great nana of Bobby and Jessica. She was aunty to a large family, originating from her home town of Sunderland, now spread throughout the country, who loved her dearly. She contributed much to the local community and will be missed by her friends at St. Andrews Church, the Cleethorpes Ladies Luncheon Club, fellow volunteers at St. Andrews Hospice charity shop, her many personal friends and the hundreds of people who passed through her Daggett Road playgroup as children in the 70s, 80s and 90s. A service to celebrate Hazel's life will take place at 11am on Monday 23rd January 2023 at St. Andrew's Methodist Church, Cleethorpes followed by committal at Grimsby Crematorium. The family asks that we wear colours, rather than black, to celebrate Hazel's life. In recognition of Hazel's love of flower arranging, floral tributes are very welcome.
