George FrancisJOHNSONFormerly of Harle Street, Neath. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday 21st August 2024 at The Gnoll Nursing Home Aged 86 years.

Beloved Husband of Bridie, Cherished Father of Gary and Anita, Much loved Father in Law of Jo and Andrew, Loving Grandfather of Gabrielle, Abegayle, Eloise, Rachel and their Husbands. Adored Great Grandfather of Jack, George, Billy, Charlie, Charlotte, Harriette and Sophia. George will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

George's reception into St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Neath will take place on Thursday 12th September at 5pm. A Requiem Mass and celebration of George's life is to take place on Friday 13th September at 11.15am. Following the service George will travel to his final place of rest in Margam Cemetery, for a graveside service and committal at 1pm.

The cortege will leave St Joseph's Church at approximately 12.30pm travelling past the family home in Harle Street and The Gnoll Nursing Home, so that friends and neighbours who are unable to attend may pay their respects. Family flowers only please however donations will be gratefully received for St Joseph's Church as you leave the service.

To Bridie, Gary, Anita and family - we are so sad to hear of the passing of Uncle George. He was one of the kindest men you could ever meet, always ready to lend a hand, always up for fun with us as kids on his many return visits to Ireland. he will be greatly and sadly missed by us as a family. May he rest in peace.

Dear Aunty Bridie, Gary, Anita and Families ~ we are so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved George RIP, a cherished husband, dad, grandad and great-grandad. I have such fond memories of your family visits to Dublin, staying in our home with my parents Aunty Elsie and uncle Bob. Uncle George and Aunty Bridie were always generous and ‘up for a laugh’.
