JoyceJOHNSTON(Low Fell, Gateshead) Peacefully at home on the 9th of October aged 80 years. Joyce, dearly loved Wife of the late Alan, much loved Mam of Keith, Graham and Ian and Mother in law of Helen and Anita. Dear Sister of Irene and Sister in law of Bill. Loving Grandma of Richard, Patrick and Robert. Joyce is much loved and will be greatly missed by all her family, friends and neighbours. A private family funeral will be held at Saltwell Crematorium on Wednesday 28th October at 12.00 noon. Family flowers only please. Joyce was an amazing lady, you loved after Jack from being such a small baby and you and Alan both took him on as your own grandchild, to the point Jack thought everyone had a Joyce and Alan like a granny and grandad. You where always so kind with us and I felt welcome into your home the moment I met you I'm so sad you have gone but you can rest easy with the love of your life Alan... An amazing lady who will be sadly missed but thought of often fly high Joyce lots of love Lisa and Jack xxxxx

We only met just over 3 years ago but you immediately took me under your wing and treat me like a daughter. I’ll greatly miss our chats about Alan and the life you led. I will uphold my promise to you and look after Graham forever. I know you won’t be at our wedding next year but you will always be in our hearts and thoughts.
