On your 91st Birthday
My Dear Mum
Missing you as much as ever on your 91st Birthday.
These special days never get any easier...no matter how much time may pass
It is still so very painful.
I go past your house every day...
I see the Conservatory that Dad built...it's still there..
The place we spent so many hours together...
Drinking tea...laughing...reminiscing about Dad...discussing anything and everything... Gino, full of character and cheekiness...telling me when to go home..
He would sit in front of me and have a little growl..then a little bark...we would both laugh and I'd say..."Looks like I'm going home then"...
But I would be back the next day...and the next...
Every day I would see you...and I treasure the memories...I really do...
There isn't a day that goes by when I don't think of you....and Dad too..
The loss of a Parent is so hard to bear...it doesn't get easier...
You just learn to live with it...
But it is still so hard Mum.
I love and miss you so much...I always will.
What I would give...just to hear that laugh one more time..
To see your smile...
I am just so grateful for all the wonderful times we did have together...

Another Christmas has arrived..
Another Christmas without you...and Dad.
I always feel so sad this time of year.
I remember all the wonderful times we had together as a family...especially at Christmas..
And it still hurts so much, that you and Dad are no longer here to enjoy them with us all together.
