Judith AnnJONESJudith Ann Jones, 80 years. Passed away on the 3rd January 2025 at Glan Clwyd hospital after a short illness. Dearly loved wife of the late David Jones. Loving mother of Ian, Graham, Neville and Kirstie. Beloved sister to the late Malcolm Rodgers. Resident of Dolgarrog and recently Rhos-on-Sea. Originally from Stockport, Judy moved at the age of thirteen with her father and mother, Neville and Margot Rodgers to the Newborough Arms, Dolgarrog. After leaving school Judy became a telephonist at the GPO before starting a family with her first husband, Robin Jones. Later Judy returned to work as an accounts clerk, for Danline International (Llanrwst), Diamond Stylus (Mochdre) and finally with Robin Jones & Sons (Llandudno Junction) where she worked with her sons Ian and Graham until retirement. Judy was a calm, highly competent and valued colleague. In 1982 Judy married Dave 'Chips' Jones. The marriage lasted over 40 years until Dave passed away in February 2024. Judy was calm, patient and kind, rarely losing her temper, yet with a simple look able to communicate her displeasure when needed. Not wanting to be the centre of attention, she graciously gave the stage to those she cared for. Nevertheless, Judy had an adventurous spirit; she conquered her fear of flying to travel and would give anything a try, including darts, fly fishing, cricket and clay pigeon shooting, at which she proved quite adept. Judy loved music, particularly from her 1960's era. She had a great memory for facts and loved quizzes and puzzles. Judy had a profound effect on those around, a role model for kindness, caring and respect. She was much loved, leaving a hole in our hearts and will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Rest in peace Mum. Funeral service at Colwyn Bay Crematorium, 11am, Friday 31st January.
