To my great and lifelong friend Llifon. We met at school in London in 1949 and have been friends ever since.
We used to play and sing to our guitars when we were younger, and write comedy scripts which never got accepted by the BBC! We spent much time discussing and ribbing each other about the Six Nations Rugby, he was a fanatical Wales supporter and always hoping to get the better of me an England supporter.
Llifon also had a great love of cricket, we used to often visit the Oval in London and spend hours discussing leg spin, off spin and various fielding tactics.
Every Thursday evening we went to the Clapham Junction Granada regardless of which film was being shown. Westerns were our favourites. We walked home and bought chips on the way.
After he moved to Wales we kept in touch with regular 'phone calls and cards with much reminiscing and silly jokes and clever puns.
I will miss my best friend terribly.
Rest in peace Llifon
