John Royden (Roy)JONESIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Royden Jones (Roy) on Thursday 14th May 2026 at Singleton Hospital.

Dearly loved and devoted husband of the late Rose Margaret Jones and in latter years Jean Jones.

Roy leaves behind his children Ian and Maggie, Bryan and Lynda, Karl, Valerie and John as well as his grandchildren Karl, Philip, Kathryn and Matthew, Daniel and Hayley, Lewis, Rhys and Cassie, Ryan and Emily and great grandchildren Oliver, Lily, Reuben and George, all of whom loved him dearly.

Roy was a man full of warmth and generosity, always ready with a pearl of wisdom to share or a funny story to make people laugh. He brought kindness and laughter to those around him and will be remembered for his quick wit and kind heart.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His laughter, humour, and love will remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday 4th June 2026 at Swansea Citadel Salvation Army, Richardson Street, Swansea SA1 3TQ at 12 noon followed by cremation at Margam Crematorium 1.45pm.

Family flowers only please, but donations, if so desired, may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, c/o Mr Bryan Jones or DG Attwell Funeral Directors, 95 Eaton Road, Brynhyfryd, Swansea SA5 9JH Tel. 01792 650205.
