Loving husband of the late Sheila Jones, father to Chris and Sandra, and grandfather to Sophie, Grace, Jasmine, Edie, and Ellen
John and Sheila retired to Broadclyst, Devon, in 1997, where John became a leading light in the local history society. A former senior probation officer in Oxford, and chairman of Oxfordshire County Council in 1992, John was also a lifelong Liberal supporter.
Friends are welcome to attend the Funeral Service at Broadclyst Parish Church, Broadclyst, Exeter, on Thursday 6th August 2026 at 2pm
