SteveKAYA true Lancashire lad and self confessed ski addict, Steve Kay lived a full life until he died peacefully on April 17th aged 78.
When he wasn't busy building up the network of engineers' merchants K Supplies, he was in the mountains, sailing, woodworking or spending time with family and friends.
Raised in Haslingden the youngest of three sons of Ruth and Harold Kay, cotton weaver and welder on Lancaster Bombers respectively.
Steve dedicated thousands of hours sharing his passion for skiing as ski instructor and vice-president at Rossendale Ski Club; he enjoyed snooker at The Palatine Club and swimming and gym sessions at Marl Pits Leisure Centre.
Steve's love of bass guitar led to regular gigs in the UK and French Alps. In his latter years he enjoyed folk music in a community of local musicians.
Steve leaves a loving family - his wife, son, daughter and grandchildren.
