James (Jim)KEEFEJim On August 12th, 2020, peacefully at home, cared for by his wife and children and after a long illness, James, aged 90 years. The dearly loved husband for 62 years of Jean, loved and loving dad of Christopher and Andrea, dear father-in-law of Ursula and Alan, adored 'Grandad Jim' of Thomas, Elena, William and Lucy, loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle and also a kind, cheerful friend, workmate, neighbour and helper to many. Jim will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him - 'a true gentleman'. Service and committal for James will take place on Thursday, 10th September 2020 at 1pm in the Central Chapel at Blackley Crematorium for family and close friends, (due to Covid restrictions). Family flowers only, please. Donations preferred to Springhill Hospice at Broad Lane, Rochdale, 0L16 4PZ, whose Hospice at Home nurses helped us to care for Jim in his last weeks.
