Pete,

Thank you for being such a wonderful father-in-law, and such a loving Grandad to my daughters.

You were always thoughtful, dependable and there whenever we needed you. You have been an inspiration to me over the years, and I will always be grateful for everything you did for us.

I will miss our chats about the football, and simply knowing that you were at the end of the phone whenever I needed some advice.

Thank you for always being there for us.

Rest easy, Pete. You will be deeply missed.

Pete,

All of your family and friends will all have different treasured memories of you, but there is a resounding common theme. You are remembered by all as: generous, reliable, kind, and someone you can always depend upon.

I cherish memories of your infamous sweet tooth which you shared with me in through trips over to the shops in Bell Green to buy sweets every Saturday without fail. Then in later years, visiting you at the garage where you worked, you opened a fridge next to your desk to reveal it was full to the brim of every type of chocolate bar you could imagine - the perfect accompaniment to the tea you had just made me.

You were incredibly generous with your time as well, whether it was helping me move house, get my car fixed, or giving Nan and I lifts to Mablethorpe when I was younger. You could always rely on Uncle Pete.

You've been taken too soon we will miss you lots. Say hi to Nan and Grandad for us

Love,
Kirstie
