JenniferKERNAHAN(neé Hardy) Dr Jennifer ( Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, and formerly of Heddon-on-the-Wall, Northumberland) With great sadness Jennifer peacefully passed away on 28th August 2023 aged 85 years surrounded by caring family. Much loved wife of the late Russell Kernahan, sister of Jeanne (Peter) and brother of the late John (Ann). Loving mother of Andrew (Abby) and Robert. Granny to Madeline, Olivia, Walker, Luke, Sunny, Taylor, Nikki and Inigo. A much loved and respected aunt, cousin, physician, colleague and friend to many. Family only committal at West Road Crematorium on Thursday 14th September at 3.00pm. Friends please meet at Trinity Church, Gosforth at 3.45pm for service of Thanksgiving. Family flowers only. Any donations in the name of Jennifer to Children's Cancer North.

Jenny was my sons doctor, Stephen Kyle on ward 16 South of the rvi Newcastle back in 1991, we stayed in there for 5 months until finally he was able to go home, eventually we were told it was the end to go home and in doing so my son recovered had gone into remission, i remember jenny calling saying a miracle had happened and it pretty much had, he lived a further 6 years, jenny was a lovely doctor very honest and straight talking. Everyone respected her. Rip jenny from the kyle/taylor family x

Didn't know Dr Kernaghan personally but she was the head of haematology at the RVI hospital & she oversaw my treatment when I had leukaemia way back in 1981 I was 8 years old then I am now 51 i wont forget her, thank you, God Bless RIP
