Michael JosephKEYESpassed away peacefully at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on November 13, aged 74. A much loved and fun-loving husband to Sue; loving father of Marie, Beverley, Michael, Joanne, Lyndsey, Sean and Darren, and a much loved grandad and great grandad. Michael also leaves many siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews in Ireland and the Isle of Wight. Michael was born in Mountrath and eventually settled in Haslingden in 1999 where he married Sue and became a brilliant father to Sue’s children Lyndsey, Sean and Darren. Michael was employed at CED Fabrications in Accrington for 22 years as a delivery driver. He was an avid supporter of Manchester United and loved watching them at the Black Bull and Haslingden Bowling Club. He will be sorely missed by his many family and friends. Michael was fondly known for his great sense of humour and devotion to his family. He and Sue enjoyed regular holidays to Benidorm and trips to Ireland and the Isle of Wight. Michael’s funeral will take place at Accrington Crematorium on Monday, November 25 at 1pm. Donations in memory of Michael are welcomed for Macmillan Cancer Support and can be made via the website: macmillan.org.uk or the funeral director Johnson, Durning and Woods, tel: 01706 214498.
