DoraKILLINGBECKMRS Dora Killingbeck, a very well-known lady throughout Great Harwood, and the owner of the Towngate Cafe, Great Harwood with her late brother Jack, sadly passed away on Thursday, March 12, aged 84, at the Royal Blackburn Hospital. Dora worked for Age Concern - Age UK - for 19 years after leaving the cafe. She loved shopping, day-tripping, socialising and just spending time around her family and friends. Dora just loved people and always saw the good in them. She was the loved daughter of the late Allen and Alice, beloved wife of Derek for 37 years, loved step-mum of Julie, cherished grandma of Kayleigh and great-grandma of Charlotte. She was also the dearly loved sister of the late Jim and Jack, special and loyal friend to Jean Walker and Christine, and a very good friend to many who will be sadly missed. A service wwas held at 12.20pm on Tuesday, March 24, at Accrington Crematorium, followed by committal. Flowers welcome or if desired, donations suggested in memory of Dora to Age UK.
