Henry 'John' King, who passed away on 14th July 2024. John to his family and friends, and 'Harry' to his beloved Mum.
An abundantly kind and generous father, a loving and devoted husband, a tip top craftsman; who created kitchens, toboggans, bird tables, and garden benches... (an abridged list, not necessarily in that order!). A very skilled yachtsman, who sailed the length and breadth of Britain... Really, an exceptional man and, above all, one of natures gentleman.
One year ago, today, you set sail in a heavenly direction. I imagine you now, sailing downwind, perfect conditions, with a gentle breeze, on a warm (but not too warm!) summers day, navigating your way to a rural idyll, where an expertly pulled (half) pint will be waiting for you... and a test match playing on the radio...
You are greatly missed, by all of us.
