ChristopherKITCHEN(18th September 1946 - 21st October 2022) It is with great sadness that the family of Christopher Kitchen announce his untimely passing. Surrounded by family, Chris passed away at Ayr Hospital on the 21st of October 2022. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Jonathan & Sarah, and their mum Louise; his younger sister Rosemary; his grandchildren Archie & Zoé; his daughter & son in law Christy & Dave; his step grandchildren Isla & Heath; and his numerous friends. Chris graduated with a BA in History and subsequently moved to Ayr from Leeds in 1973 to take up a teaching post at Queen Margaret Academy, and later at Marr College. He was well respected as a teacher amongst pupils and staff alike. Chris retired in 2010 choosing to prioritise spending time with family and friends, gardening, and travel. There will be a celebration of Chris' life at Masonhilll Crematorium, Ayr, KA6 6EN, on Tuesday 8th November at 10:30. Immediately followed by lunch at Enterkine House Hotel, KA6 5AL (all invited). Please RSVP to either his daughter Sarah on 07809 295185 or his son Jonathan on 07572 373115 if coming to lunch to allow us to plan the catering. Family flowers only, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Headway charity.
