Met John at my first ever kart meeting where I thought I was going very quickly. "Not going very fast" he said which spurred me on for the future. He became a good friend and when I stopped racing and became a Clerk of the Course he helped me immeasurably fit into my new role. A true gent in every way, Susan and myself will miss him dropping in for a cup of tea. Last time we saw him he said he was missing Rose so now they can be back together. Rest well my friend, Susan and Alec Sutcliffe
