MustafaKUZUA lot of people believe that their loved ones are invincible; Mustafa, the rock of our family, genuinely seemed like nothing could or would take him away from us. Unfortunately, it’s true what they say, “the best ones go too soon”. Mustafa Kuzu, aged 77 years, born 12th September 1943 and sadly passed away at Hull Royal Infirmary on 18th March 2021. Mustafa was most often described as a “true gentleman”; he was someone who was always there to provide endless words of wisdom and provide support for anyone in need; this included family, friends and even those who he was meeting for the first time. Mustafa moved to England in 1969 and began working at the Royal Station Hotel; during the 70’s he worked at The Lantern before the grand opening of Mustafa’s Restaurant in the 80’s. His restaurant thrived because of his passion for making people happy and bringing people together. Mustafa greeted everyone with a smile and made friends wherever he went. He was never too busy for anyone and always had time to keep in contact with friends he had known for decades. Not only did Mustafa ensure his family were well cared for, he also allowed us the pleasure to bask in his accomplishments and made sure to remind us all that if he could start without a penny to his name, we could have the world. He visited Cottingham Parks Golf Club as often as he could. Mustafa had a real passion for golf; he organised golfing trips to Turkey with friends from the club and over the years he took his grandchildren to lessons to share his passion; one of whom is still continuing with lessons and making his granddad very proud with the progress he has made. Mustafa Kuzu was a loving husband, inspirational father to 3 and dedicated grandfather to 8. Without a doubt, the stories of Mustafa’s life and his endless good deeds will paint him as a hero to his soon-to-be great-grandson. He had a heart of gold and worked tirelessly for his family. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
