A wonderful teacher and Headmaster, our family have very happy memories of Gillshill school. A gentle and kind man. God bless you.

My favourite ever Teacher, Dorchester Junior early 80s.
We were all terrified at first to know the then Deputy Head was going to actually take a class, as he was quite formidable. But it turned out to be the best year of school I'd ever had.
Amazing man.
Thankfully I'd seen him in 2019 when I was in hospital and he was visiting someone.
A lovely man that I'm sure will be sorely missed.

I have many fond memories of Edward. Lovely man. I was a pupil at Gillshill Primary when he was headteacher and he so was lovely and inspiring. I remember him helping me get a part in Robin: Prince of Sherwood at Hull New Theatre. I became a teacher because of people like Edward. Gutted I never saw him in a professional capacity. Would have loved for him to see how he plays inspired me.
