JohnLAMONTOn 25th July 2026, at Robb Place, Castle Douglas, John Lamont peacefully passed away, and is now reunited with his cherished wife Mary. He was the beloved and devoted father of Mathew and Victoria, and the adored Grandpa of Caelan and Neve. He will be deeply missed by his entire family and friends.
A funeral service to honour his life will be held on Wednesday 12th August at 1.00pm at Roucan Loch Crematorium, Dumfries. The cortège will depart from Robb Place, Castle Douglas at 12.00pm, before continuing to the crematorium. All friends are respectfully invited to attend the service. In remembrance of John, flowers are welcome.
Special thanks are due to Kevin and Helen, without whom the family could not have managed. The family are also grateful to the carers, gardeners and cleaners who have looked after John over the years, and to his close friends, neighbours and the wider community for the great kindness and support shown throughout.
