Mary BewickLANT(née Curtis) High Heaton (born St. Anthony's)

Passed away peacefully in the Freeman hospital on Monday 13th November, aged 90, and 67 years of marriage to her beloved & devoted husband Dick.

Mary was 'excellanty' and had a wonderful life and maintained her positive outlook right to the end. She had a big impact on the lives of many and will be missed but not forgotten. She loved and was loved by her family: her husband Dick, three sons and their wives, nine grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and her auntie Frankie.

The funeral will take place at The West Road Crematorium on Thursday 30th November at 2.15pm followed by a wake at the PTE Club, Millers Road, Byker, NE6 2XP.

Mary did not want anyone to be sad at her funeral so please come prepared to remember the good times and have good craic. And colourful clothing most welcome.

No flowers please & there will be a collection for a good cause on the day.

The funeral service will also be live streamed.

A wonderful person full of compassion and a privilege to have worked with Mary for many years. Hong Kong Mary as my children would call her bringing back gifts for them while visiting her family in Hong Kong. What a legend xx
