JohnLAWof Clayton-Le-Moors died on 13th February 2024 at East Lancashire Hospice, aged 78. He leaves much loved daughters Jennifer and Samantha, brothers Jim and Anthony, grandchildren Ava, Lucas, Katy and Theo.

Mr Law was a PE teacher at Mount Carmel School for nearly 25 years. He loved sport, he played soccer for Altham in the Accrington combination and also some games for Accrington Stanley just after their rebirth in 1970. He watched a lot of football especially at Accrington Stanley and in 1996 had been on all the 92 football league grounds. In 1966 he went to the world cup final. For over 25 years he was a member of Accrington Golf Club. He loved the outdoors and twice in the early 1970's ran the prestigious 3 peaks race. In retirement he loved to walk on the Pennine way and in the Yorkshire Dales. His happiest days were spent with his family and he really adored his grandchildren.

The funeral will take place on Wednesday 28th February at All Saints Church, Clayton-le-Moors at 1pm, followed by committal at Accrington Cemetery, at 2pm.

I'm very sad to hear about John. He was a brilliant PE teacher when I was at Holy Family school in Accrington. I went on many walks with John and remember seeing him a few times running along Whalley Road when he was training. RIP John.
