I didn't get the chance to share this quotation with my Dad, but I think he'd have understood it:

'Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that field, the world is too full to talk about.'

Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi

We did meet in that field, Dad, in the years before you died, and the very night before.

With my love

Your birthday was last week on the 26th October. Your beautiful grand piano, with its long memory, has come to me. On that day, I opened the lid, and pressed every key. I sat with you a while. How could I not. I just wanted you to know.

With my love

My Fathers gravestone was changed to show the correct spelling of Gray. Ann his second wife was added later on her death.
Dad and Ann were a perfect match and gave me so much love. I am so blessed to have had them as my parents. Not a day goes by when I do not hear their voices.
What wonderful times.

"Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way where I am going." Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no-one comes to the Father, but by me.""

John 14: 1-6
