Peacefully on January 24th 2008 at The Nuffield Hospital, Clayton surrounded by his loving family, John aged 70 years of Rudyard and formerly of Leek (former proprietor of Lawtons Pie Shop), devoted husband of Doreen, special dad of Julie and Jane, dear father-in-law of Gareth and Neil, precious grandad of Kara and Chloe, great-grandad of Brooklyn, much loved brother of David and a dear brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral Monday February 4th, service at St Chad's Church, Longsdon at 2.30pm prior to cremation at Carmountside Crematorium, will friends wishing to attend kindly meet at the church, family flowers only please, donations if desired to Cancer Research UK.
