Robert DavidLEARWOODPeacefully passed away at Redlands Acre Care Home on March 24th aged 90 years. Devoted husband to Stella, a dearly loved father to Christine and Mark and a much loved grandad to Kevin, James and Siobhan. Funeral service to take place at Gloucester Crematorium Coney Hill Road Gloucester GL4 4PA on Tuesday April 18th at 1pm. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired may be sent for The British Heart Foundation c/o S C and B S Cocks Funeral Directors 59, Hucclecote Road, Gloucester GL3 3TL

Thinking about Bob on what would have been his 92 birthday, I did a search and sadly found he passed away last year.
He was my dad’s cousin - his father’s sister was my grandmother, Alice. When times were tough his aunt Alice took him under her wing to be part of the extended family with her own children, Phyllis, Fred (my dad), John and Marion.
I only met him and Stella comparatively late in my parents lives but he was, as others have said, a lovely, lovely man.

My dear brother Bob will be greatly missed by Lynda and myself. He was ever mindful of others and was the perfect gentleman. Due to the 18 years between us we never grew up as brothers together in the usual way of things, but later in life when time allowed we enjoyed many happy occasions and the memories will remain with us forever. RIP
